作家コメント

「しずかなしずけさのあるところ」
ある人が、私の作品にはしずけさがある、という。
作品のしずけさとは、何だろうか。しずけさとは、無音ではない。
それは、作品に直に向き合った人だからこその、感じ方なのだ。
作品がしずかなのではなく、見た人の内側にあるしずけさを見たのではないか。
作品は向き合ってこそ、見えてくるもの、感じられることがある。
私自身も、自分の内なるものに向き合うため、また、壁のように立ちはだかる
画面に向き合うのだろう。
今回も、見る人に、新たに何を感じてもらえるか、楽しみでもある。

A Place of Tranquility and Silence

Someone told me that my work have a sense of quietness.
What is that meaning? Silence is not soundlessness.
It is a feeling that can only be experienced by those who have same way.
It is that the work itself is not silent, but the viewer sees the inside of silence in the piece.
There are things that can only be seen and felt by facing a work of art.
I myself, in order to deeply facing myself, will also face the screen that stands like a wall.
I am looking forward to seeing what new impressions coming out from viewers, this time as well.

友人から紹介して頂き、作品ファイルを見た。作品は、器であったが、器ではない。風景も全く遠近が無い。皆まったいら、平面だ。作品は色彩にあふれていた。いろがたわむれている。マチスを想起させる。色が命である。作品をじっと見ているとあかるく、心休ませる。

A friend introduced me to the artist. I saw the file of the artist's work. The works are not vessels that were vessels. The landscape has no perspective. It was completely flat.　The work was full of colors. The colors are dancing. The colors and flatness reminded me of Matisse. Color is the essence of her works.
Staring at her works is bright and comforting.
