群。個・粒が塊になり、一つの系をなす。ある目的を持っているかのように動くそれは、”すぐ隣”に対する模倣と反応から生まれる。
生き物は反応の集積である。私は独立した個体でありながら、私が誰なのかは、周りが何かで決まる。

A colony. It is the crowd that gathers and makes one system. It that moves as if they have one purpose is shaped by imitation and the reaction to “neighbor”. 
All living things are an accumulation of reacting. While I am an independent individual, who I am determined by the neighborhood.

作家は「その眼で」、「Reflection」、「脱線図」と変革しつつ一貫して生命を描いている。既に完成しつつあった作家は、絵画を考え直すと突然昨年芸大に入り、新たな出発をはたした。作家は今回のテーマ「colony」で生命の不思議を描いている。こんなのが絵になるのかというテーマに果敢に取り組んでいる。

The artist has been consistently painting life, changing his style with "With His Eyes," "Reflection," and "Derailed Figure". Having already completed his work, the artist suddenly entered the University of the Arts last year to reconsider painting, and made a new start. In "colony," the artist paints the wonder of life. He is boldly tackling a theme that is difficult to be turned into a painting.
