作家コメント

何を言うかは、どうでもいい。どうやるか、がすべてである。
「何を言うか」が大事にされてきた世界で
「どうやるか」のみを続けるストリート・デストロイヤー。
数年後、また違う解釈で「大ストリート・デストロイヤー展2031」をやることになったとしても、結局、
ストリート・デストロイヤーは何も言わずにストリートをデストロイしているだけだろう。

It doesn't matter what you say. How you do it is all that matters.
In a world where "what you say" has always been the most important thing
In a world where "what you say" is valued, the Street Destroyer continues to focus only on "how you do it.
In a few years, even if I decide to hold the "Great Street Destroyer Exhibition 2031" with a different interpretation In the end, the Street Destroyer will say nothing.
In the end, the Street Destroyers will just continue to destroy the streets without saying anything.

田中偉一郎展の今回は大デストロイヤー展。2004年から撮りつづけている作品の大集合。あたかも、かのように、この一瞬を切り取る、彼の気付き、発想の豊かさ。それが面白い。静止写真しか成立しない作品。説明は不要だ。これから、どんな展開があるのだろうか。期待がかかる。

This exhibition of Iichiro Tanaka is "Great Destroyer," which he has been working on since 2004. His awareness and rich imagination to capture this moment as if it were an instant.
