作家コメント

『死から産まれる命』。
　僕は以前から木製パネルや木の枡を土台に制作していますが、今回はそれに加え　流木や動物の骨も使っています。これらの『死体』のうえに絵具で作品を形作ることを　再び生命を発生させていると自己解釈しているのです。この強引な行為は　どこかフランケンシュタインと彼の造った怪物に似ているかもしれません。
　できることならば　彼らの物語のように　今回の個展が不気味で　悩ましく　印象的なものであってくれたらと願っています。」

Life Born from Death".
I have been working on wooden panels and wooden boxes for a long time, but this time I am also using driftwood and animal bones as bases for my works. I think of myself as giving life to these "corpses" again by forming the work with paint on them. This forced act may be somewhat similar to Frankenstein and the monster he created. I hope that this exhibition will be as eerie, troubled, and impressive as their story.

今回作家の作品は意欲的だ。従来はボード、桝、貝の基材の表面を絵の具で覆い削っていた。本展示では、基材に、枯れ木、骨などを使用、また、絵具も一旦使用した削り滓をも使っている。全てに廃棄物を使用して作品を作り、廃棄物に命を吹き込んでいる。これは静かな現在の捨て去られたものへのオマージュである。

The artist's work is ambitious. In the past, the artist covered the surface of base materials such as boards, squares, and shells with paint and then cut them down. In this exhibition, he uses dead wood, bones, and other materials as base materials, as well as paint shavings that have already been used. He uses waste in all of his work and breathes life into discarded objects. I feel this is a quiet, present homage to the discarded things of the present.
