ストローレイン -赤い雨-
赤く染めた藁を最初に作品に使用したのは、2019年に発表した作品《Regeneration》が最初で、「ヒンメリ」をテーマにした展覧会でした。
「ヒンメリ」とはフィンランドの藁の装飾品で、昼の時間が極端に短くなる冬に、魔除けや、麦の金色に太陽の光りと豊かさを想い室内に飾ると言われています。
特に冬至は昼が最も短い日であると同時に、日毎に春に近づく「太陽が生まれる日」として盛大に祝い、それがクリスマスのルーツであると言われています。
最も昼の短い日を希望に繋がる最初の1日として喜ぶということに、私は人間の生命に対する前向きな力強さを感じ、それを人間の中に流れる血潮の色、赤の色に込めました。赤く染めた藁で大きな「ヒンメリ」を吊るし、その下に鏡を設置し無限の命を表現しました。
　今、改めて赤い藁で新たなインスタレーション作品に試みたのは、現在、世界各地で流れている多くの血を想ったからです。今年に入り、常識だと思っていた世界の均衡は大きく崩れようとしています。自分たちの国を追いやられ、ただ自分たちの土地で生きたいがために戦わざるを得ず、多くの血が各地で流れています。
生きる気持ちや生命の喜びが、日々、大量に流れて去っていることを、赤い藁から想いを馳せることができたらと感じています。

Straw rain -Red- (Straw rain -Red-)

　The first time I used red-dyed straw in a work of art was in the exhibition "Regeneration" in 2019, which was based on the theme of "Himmeri".

Himmeli" are Finnish straw ornaments that are decorated in winter, when the daylight hours are extremely short, to ward off evil spirits and to remind people of the golden color of wheat and the abundance of sunshine.
The winter solstice, in particular, is celebrated as the shortest day of the year and also as the day on which the sun is born, as each day brings us closer to spring, and this is said to be the origin of Christmas.

I felt the positive strength of human life in rejoicing over the shortest day as the first day that leads to hope, and I put it in the color of red, the color of the blood that flows in human beings. I hung a large "Hinmeri" from red-dyed straw and placed a mirror under it to express infinite life.

　The reason why I attempted a new installation work with red straw again is because I thought about the large amount of blood that is currently being spilled around the world. This year, the equilibrium of the world, which we thought was common sense, is about to be shattered. People are being driven away from their own countries and forced to fight to live in their own lands, and a lot of blood is being spilled in many parts of the world.

I feel that the red straw can remind us of the fact that the feeling of life and the joy of life are flowing away in large quantities every day

一昨年の「Träumerei -夕べの夢想」に次ぐ、当画廊2回目の個展「ストローレイン -赤い雨-」。
最も太陽の当たらない時期に春の希望を藁に込めて屋内に飾る「メンヒリ」。作家はそこから感じた生命の前向きさを人間の中に流れる血潮の赤に込めて、赤く染めた「ヒンメリ」の作品を2019年に作成。それから３年。世界は変化し、現在、各地で起っている様々な諍いにより流れる命を想い、新たな赤い藁の作品を生み出す。

Straw rain -Red-" is the gallery's second solo exhibition following "Träumerei -Evening Dreaming" the year before last.
Menhiris" are decorated indoors with straw in hopes of spring during the period of the year when the sun is least shining. The artist created a work of "Hinmeri" in 2019, dyed in red, with the positivity of life she felt from it in the red of the blood flowing in human beings. Three years have passed since then. The world has changed, and now he creates a new work of red straw, thinking of the life that flows through the various conflicts that are occurring in various places.
