略歴

  • 1922

    ２月２日、長野県諏訪郡下諏訪町 に生まれる。 
    Born in Shimosuwa, Nagano prefecture

  • 1943

    早稲田大学理工学部建築学科入学。
     (Waseda Unviersity), the  Faculty of Science and Engineering, Architecture department.

  • 1952

    第四回読売アンデパンダン展（東京都美術館、東京）
    ４th Yomiuri Independent exhibition.

  • 1955

    ウィスコンシン州立大学よりフルブライト交換教授として招聘。         
    Received Fulbright exchange professorship at Wisconsin University, USA.

  • 1963

    個展｢ψによる松澤宥個展｣（青木画廊、東京）
    Yutaka Matsuzawa solo exhibition, according to Psy, Aoki gallery, Tokyo

  • 1964

    June 1st, received a revelation: ‘Vanish all the objects’. After considering for 3 days, decided to start creating conceptual art only with language. Independent ’64, Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Art, Tokyo Independent ’64 in the deserted land, a conceptual exhibition only existed as an advertisement in an art magazine

ギャラリーコメント

松澤宥氏は1964年６月1日｢オブジェを消せ｣という啓示を受けて、６月４日美術を言葉だけ表現する観念芸術を創始。その後、「人類よ、消滅しよう」、「美術の終焉」などのコンセプトを上げ、世界のアート・シーンを席巻、「コンセプチュアル・アートの世界的な創始者」と云われています。これら彼の言葉は現在の世の中をみて深く考えさせられます。今回松澤宥の生誕100年を迎えて展示いたしました。

Mr. Matsuzawa received a revelation on June 1, 1964 to "erase objects," and on June 4, 1964, he created conceptual art that expresses art only in words. After that, he came up with concepts such as "Humanity, Let's Disappear" and "The End of Art", which swept the world art scene and earned him the title of "the world's founder of conceptual art". These words make me think deeply about today's world. This exhibition celebrates the 100th anniversary of Matsuzawa's birth.
