　いつもの午前の道を歩きながら思う
67ページの人生のその一ページを見ている
ページを捲ると
重たい少年のページで止まった　こうして一枚一枚を捲りながら　来たのだろうか　
風に吹かれてびっしり書かれた思春期が飛んで行く
今はいくら書いても書いても消える　蒸発して消える文字
びっしり書かれた小さな文字が午后には消えかかって　やがて
消えていく　そして
白いページが残る
しかしそれが使用済みであるから純白ではない白い本。

　I think as I walk down my usual morning path
I'm looking at that one page of my 67-page life
I turn the page
I stop at the heavy page of a boy, wondering if this is how I came to be, page by page.　
I wonder if I've come to the place where the wind blows and the pages of my youth fly away
Now, no matter how much I write, the words disappear, evaporate, disappear
The small letters written all over the place are about to disappear by noon, and eventually
And then they disappear
A white page remains
But it is a white book, not pure white because it has been used.

今個展の山本直彰作品は１９８４年の初期作品から2021年の作品まで幅広い年代の展示である。
氏の作品をを見ていると真摯に自分に向かい合っている。実に禁欲的で緊張感がある。
遊びがない、必要最小限の線、色で描いている。気が詰まりそうである。
氏の向かい合っているのは、今ここにいる自分の生と死ではないか。

The works of Naoaki Yamamoto in this solo exhibition range from his early works in 1984 to his works in 2021.
Looking at Yamamoto's works, One can see that he is sincerely facing himself. There is a real sense of asceticism and tension.
There is no playfulness, and he draws with the minimum amount of lines and colors necessary. It is almost unnerving.
What he is facing is the life and death of himself here and now, isn't it?
